The easy answer to this? It depends. Are you comfortable with your counselor after the first few visits? Are you connecting with them? Are you making progress in their therapy for you? Do you feel like you have got past your issues? Do you think this should be the end of your therapy?
These are all questions not answered easily or quickly. Evaluate where you are with your therapist and speak with them about if you should continue or not.
