Should I Change
In this video counselors Dr Kevon Owen and Jack Smith are talking about “Should I Change”.
If you are in a job or career that you either have no chance for advancement or you don’t like what you are doing but it does meet the immediate need and puts food on the table and a roof over you and your families head the question of “Should I Change” does come up.
Ask yourself this, does what I want to change my career to meet the needs of yourself and your family? If not you may feel really stuck. Defeated.
Well you aren’t defeated but maybe delayed. If you have a career or job that you want to go into how much do you know about it? What research have you done? Can you support yourself and your family doing this? When you really look inward can you actually do what your re contemplating?
Example: if your eyesight isn’t great and you need vision correction chances are you can’t become a pilot. Physical limitations are but one thing. Do you have the training or education to actually perform what you are wanting to do? You have to be realistic about what you want to do and can you actually do what you are wanting to do?
It doesn’t mean give up it just means keep researching your passion of what you want to do. There might be something related you haven’t even considered. Mindset will help you in determining what is possible and then the determination to actually go and do it. Don’t be afraid to bet on yourself but make it a bet you won’t lose.
