Anxiety is an emotion which is characterized by an unpleasant state of inner turmoil and includes feelings of dread over anticipated events. This is what Wikipedia says about anxiety.

Public speaking can bring anxiety depending on how you perceive it. If the idea of public speaking brings great anxiety well welcome to the human race. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Your mindset going into the this event will have a great deal to do with how you handle this event. There is nothing truly to be afraid of. Nothing to be embarrassed about. Most likely the people you are speaking to most likely don’t know you. They can maybe draw a first impression but that will stop when you start the speech.

If you don’t know by now we live in “short attention span theater” most of the time. They may hear you about 3 minutes then become distracted about one thing or an other.

You need to try to deliver your message mostly within the 3 minutes. If not you may lose them. Not good just reality.
