Kids growing up and searching for who they are. It’s a time that can be very confusing for many kids. As a parent are you helping them actually discover who they are?
Being accepted by others is a subject that can be difficult for a kid. What they need to realize sooner or later is they really need to learn to be themselves. Acceptance by peers can lead some kids to do things and act ways that aren’t who they are. Kids need to realize that they need to learn self acceptance and then others will start to accept them for who they really are.
And the kids who don’t probably never will and their acceptance really doesn’t matter anyway. The pressures that can come from peer pressure can be great and usually leads to ways and acts that they really don’t need to fall into. It’s a difficult time in society these days. A stable and supportive home is vital to a child growing up. Are you as a parent providing that stability and support to your children? This is extremely important for your child to discover their true identity in life.
