This is an age old issue that kids and teenagers tend to do if they feel they are missing something in life. Some theft that is very small and insignificant if small children take something that isn’t theirs can happen. They either haven’t been taught not to do these things or they may have have been influenced by someone else or maybe TV or something online has given them ideas they shouldn’t have.
The other side of this is the level of theft and the age of the child. This can get serious if this is auto theft or vandalism or other things like these. But no matter it is an opportunity teach them that stealing is morally wrong and in some cases against local, state or federal laws. This is where it can get very serious for the child and possibly you as a parent. Parents you haven’t necessarily failed but it is time to take action with teaching and a from of discipline applicable to the offense.
